Dødsrenna - The death gorge

Orienteering: From the top of the Fjellheisen turn 180 degrees away from the prepared slope, cross the rope with a Danger sign and stay to the right down a small drop. Then follow the terrain downwards to the left, a nice and easy freeride, to the top of the gorge. |

How´s the skiing: The gorge is narrow and steep, usually with lots of snow as there is little of no wind. There is a tree halfway down the gorge, also possible to pass on the right even if there is more space on the left. Awesome feeling as you jump turn all the way down. At the bottom it widens out and the steepness declines. Follow the v-shaped creek path further down and turn left when a clear skipath opens to the left. You arrive above an dto the left of Krystallen and continue into the ski slopes at the bottom of Familiebakken. |
